ASSOCIATE PASTOR JERRY IRELAND

Associate Pastor Jerry Ireland was blessed to be part of a Christian family.  His parents were strong Christians active in church and very musical. The musical ability was passed on to Jerry and his three sisters.  Jerry gave his life to Jesus at the age of nine while in a children’s Church service.  At the age of 12 he felt God’s call on his life for full-time Christian service.

He graduated from high school in Fayetteville, North Carolina then spent three years in the navy mostly in submarine duty.  The Lord then directed him to Columbia Bible College (now called Columbia International University) where he earned a BA in Biblical Education.  Upon graduation the Lord led him to Columbus, Georgia to be a youth pastor in the Columbus Christian Missionary Alliance Church.  Jerry was ordained to the ministry in January 1976 and has ministered in churches in Columbus, Georgia; Mobile, Alabama; Euless, Texas; and now here at Charity Chapel in Pensacola since August 1988.

Jan was in the CMA (Christian Missionary Alliance) youth group and through God’s direct leading, they were married on March 23, 1974.  Their son Joe came along as a birthday present (on Jerry’s birthday) in September 1975.  Joe graduated from Woodham High School in 1994 and UWF in the 1998-1999 school year and is employed in Cybersecurity sales in the Clearwater, Florida area.  James was born in February 1979, graduated from Woodham High School, Pensacola Jr. College and UWF.  James married Rachael in March 2005 and they have three sons and one daughter, Jonathan, Jameson, Jacob and Hannah.  James worked for Public Safety for 6 years and transitioned in 2017 to do GIS analyst work for Gulf Power. Jan is working as a Secretary at FDLRS (Florida Diagnostic Learning Resources Systems) in the Hall Center. Jerry and Jan have been serving the Lord at Charity Chapel since August, 1988.

Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, getting in the presence of God, worshipping God, and seeing God at work.  He likes to travel, walk on the beach, go to the mountains, visit historical places, watch sports on television and enjoys writing, playing and singing music (especially Praise and Worship and Southern Gospel music).

His special interests include volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, softball, horseshoes, pool, fishing and football.  He likes to play board games and is a collector of coins and stamps.

Kären Mueller has been attending Charity Chapel since 1983 and has been the church’s financial secretary since October 1992.  Her husband is Larry and they have three children and four grandchildren.

Chuck & Tammy Kunze – our Missions Directors since 2014. Chuck first began attending Charity Chapel about 25 years ago while dating Tammy Disney. Chuck & Tammy were then married in August of 1991 and continued attending Charity. Together they worked with the Youth for several years and served on the Firehouse Team under Tony Faircloth ministering to the neighborhood youth. During their time as youth directors they led their first short term missions trip into Mexico. It was a great trip that helped shape Chuck’s love for missions. Chuck then decided to start his own business as an Architect in January of 2000, when Artisan’s Architecture was formed. Through business connections Chuck began working with Ben Veasey and Builders For Christ (BFC), and has taken missions trips to several countries in support of BFC. Chuck traveled with the ministry and used his skills as an Architect to help Missionaries realize their building and facility needs. After being married for about 13 years Chuck & Tammy adopted their daughter Isabella from China, which started a new phase of their life. As Chuck & Tammy focused on raising Isabella they also responded to the prompting of God to take the Perspectives Class offered by Globe International. Both Chuck & Tammy have completed this intensive study of Missions and have truly gained a new perspective of how God reaches the World through each of us. Chuck is honored to be able to serve Charity Chapel as an Elder and looks forward to seeing what God has in His plans for Charity Chapel, both in our neighborhood and around the World.

Linda Kimble has been attending Charity Chapel since June 1992 and has been the Missions Director since 1992. She is married to Ray Kimble (who served for 20 years as one of our elders), they have four children and eleven grandchildren. Linda is our Director of Missions Hospitality, one of her many fields of excellence.
